Sarah McGrath
Sarah McGrath, Sydney, New South Wales
I paint in oil and watercolour and excel in the style of contemporary realism - my paintings have an almost photo-like quality. I am drawn to antique silverware and other sentimental objects that show tarnish, patina and the wears of time but still shine. My artwork style is achieved through fine detail and traditional painting methods of applying fine layers of paint and glazes to create a reflective piece of art work capturing a sense of the object’s rich history and unique qualities.
Eclette by Penny Brooshooft
Eclette by Penny Brooshooft, Perth, Western Australia
Eclette was born from my love of eclectic homes filled to the brim with art – I believe that a house is not a home unless it is full of things that shout individuality.
Emilie Maguin
Emilie Maguin, Perth, Western Australia
My work is a bold and poetic depiction of the natural world through the use of strong colour and pattern. The flattened perspective lends an almost naive quality to the paintings; typically a still life with exuberant native flowers, or a giant pottery vessel decorated with birds or other animals, an abstracted landscape

My art is a reflection of people, places and experiences that bring me joy. Each work is an effort to capture the small but important moments that make life special; such as a swim in the ocean at first light, enjoying the last rays of a velvet sunset, or simply taking a moment to be still and reflect

I create my art with different forms of mediums, I paint layer upon layer using a variety of acrylics, oil pastels, watercolour, impasto and sometimes I incorporate textural elements into the artwork. The more common theme is abstract however I am drawn to realism and enjoy the break of painting so loosely.

I create abstract art by expressing myself by going out into nature and looking at the simple objects in the environment and creating something different by using the elements of design to change the shape, colour or the orientation of the object.

I love allowing myself to be creative and completely submersed within a painting. Painting takes me on an exciting journey and I never quite know where the final destination will be. I am naturally drawn to bright color palettes and love the many textures that can be achieved within a painting. Nature and the sea often make an appearance in my work.
Barb Newton
Barb Newton, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria
Although predominantly my art work features painting animals, I paint landscapes, portraiture and other subjects, and forever evolving. I undertake commissions, and once able, will enjoy the market scene again, where meeting people and selling my art is most rewarding. My style has been described as naïve art, and I paint subjects as a representation, rather than real life look.
