I work from home as an artist on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula from a purpose built art space built from a shipping container.
My natural flair for the arts begins at an early age, and inspiration for subjects I paint or draw, comes from part of my childhood growing up at country Mt Macedon, to a career in agricultural science, University life working in Botany and Zoology, to experience in administration, training in aged care, and travels within Australia and overseas.
I specialise in acrylics on canvas, to ink work, and fabric paints, on hand made sewn items from calico cotton, and spent many years in my spare time, training in various techniques, to life drawing, china painting, graphic design, attending various galleries training alongside other artists, and exhibited various works, to donating artworks to charity organisations, to raise vital funds.
Although predominantly my art work features painting animals, I paint landscapes, portraiture and other subjects, and forever evolving. I undertake commissions, and once able, will enjoy the market scene again, where meeting people and selling my art is most rewarding.
My style has been described as naïve art, and I paint subjects as a representation, rather than real life look.
I have recently worked in collaboration with a wonderful photographer and field guide in South Africa, Andrew John Taylor, who has allowed permission for me to paint his wonderful wildlife images.
Andrew John Taylor had an idea that came from a conversation.
We met on social media platform, Instagram.
The first collection in collaboration with Andrew is combining photography and painting.
Andrew’s printed images are for sale with the paintings. We look forward to the future, to making a difference in conservation with other ideas in mind.

My love for adventure started at a young age growing up on a cattle farm in Zululand South Africa.
Being up before dawn walking the cattle into the fields to graze amongst the African savanna instilled a constant yearning for the outdoors.
I took up photography thanks to my parents whom both share my passion for capturing moments through their lenses.
Photographing nature is my way of trying to give back to the earth, to show people what we might lose if we aren't careful.
Through our collaboration we're sending that message further afield to distant shores and giving people something beautiful in the process.
I look forward to the future and hopefully making a difference to conservation of our planet and the work we achieve together.
