Miranda Free - Floral Sushi
Miranda Free is an Australian artist who paints landscapes, people and still life. She is a contemporary realist who loves working from life, mainly using oils to produce her works. She is inspired by the natural beauty of the biodiversity hotspot of where she resides in southwestern Australia and often paints native florals and local landscapes. In other still life works she loves the challenge of painting reflective surfaces such as glass and ceramics . She has exhibited widely in eight solo and over 30 group exhibitions in Australia and internationally, undertaken five artist residencies and been a finalist in several major art prizes including the Lethbridge 20000 Small Scale Art Award in Brisbane and the John Leslie Landscape Acquisitive Prize, Gippsland Art Gallery, Victoria in 2024.
