Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I’ve alway's been creative, from an early age I was alway’s painting something whether it was our concrete driveway with water and a paintbrush (don’t laugh) or a pair of pants so I could look like "Boy George” to attend an Under 18’s disco, unfortunately life gets in the road and I didn’t return to painting till a couple of years ago at 48 after my mum passed away from Ovarian Cancer.

I’ve had a few different careers since leaving school but my most recent was an Administration Officer for Queensland Health, leaving this position to pursue my other love of Interior Design and completing a Diploma in 2019.

I’m mainly a self-taught artist, apart from Art at school and a few online tutorials I play with colour, mediums and most recently textures.

What is your favourite drink?

I’m a coffee addict and also a coffee snob, I will walk, ride or drive to the best coffee and there are many here in Brisbane.

What inspired you to start painting?

Mum definitely was my inspiration to start painting again, she was an amazing artist and I love that I have her beautiful work on my walls, it’s a reminder to keep working on my craft.

How can we support you?

Thank you Art Directory Australia you have been one of the first forums for me to display my art. Your support has been wonderful, so continue doing what you are doing.

What advice would you give other artists/creatives starting out?

The best advice I can give other artist/creatives is NEVER, EVER give up!!! I love painting and even if no one likes my art I will continue to paint, it’s in my blood.
