Hi! I worked as an Interior Designer and Colour Consultant for years before a health issue in 2018. I started painting again (after majoring in art at school) as a form of physiotherapy and when people started to enquire more and buy my pieces I gave up my design work to stay home and paint! I’ve sold consistently over the past 18 months and humbled each time one finds a new home. I’m a mum of 3 children - 2 with mental health disabilities so painting is my outlet and creates a breathing space for me. I choose to call my painting ‘heartwork’...an apt word considering my last name also.

I’m an expressive abstract artist and mainly use palette knives to create emotive seascapes/landscapes. I also use knives for abstract botanicals. I only use acrylic paints - impastos and flows - but I also oil pastels in my botanicals. I also create with alcohol inks. They have a mind of their own but I enjoy the challenge of manipulating them to form gorgeous fluid pieces. All 3 styles sell well through my website, insta, and online art galleries (including Bluethumb and Art Lovers). My canvases and timber frames are mainly custom made through my supplier in QLD...I use high quality cotton and linen canvases.
