I’m Anna Price and i’m an interior designer and passionate creative. This is the side-hustle to my main business Container Kit ( I specialise in design for shipping container conversions).

When my eldest was 4 and my youngest was (nearly) two, I delivered identical twins making me mum to four little people, 4 years of age and under. This meant that my work @containerkit had had to take a back seat for a while.

When the babies were tiny we did a big renovation. A big white barn house. When we moved back in we had zero dollars left, a lot of white space and nothing to put on the walls. So I started painting. Buying the biggest canvases I could fit in my van and just going for it.

The first painting I did, I donated to the local preschool fundraiser and it sold at auction for $800. Although there was a lot of wine and benevolence involved (inflating the market value of said painting) it gave me the encouragement I needed to start doing this more which worked out great as I could do 10 minutes here, an hour there while the little ones napped.

As I started posting my artworks on instagram, friends, and friends of friends who were also in the throes of renovating and bleeding cash started asking me to do commissions for their spaces. So now I just paint and paint with every spare second I get. I love creating and making beautiful and affordable pieces that bring joy and colour to family homes.

As my style develops I draw inspiration from the environments I spend time in - both urban and regional, creating abstract land maps and view. My artworks are full of vibrant colour and my style is abstract / abstract expressionism.
