JB Creations
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I was born and raised on New South Wales South Coast, that was were my passion for painting seascapes began.
During the summer months, my Dad and I would go surfing on the South Coast, there was always something calming about being out in the ocean on my board, it was a carefree and beautiful place to be, where all your thoughts drain away. This is what I try to portray in my Seascape Artworks, to take people into my carefree world of being out in the ocean, riding the waves.
I began my Art journey full-time for the past two years, opening my business “JB Creations” back in 2020.
My passion has always been Art, designing and creating from a young age, so I decided to dive in the deep end so to speak and pursue my dream of being Artist.
So here we are, two years later. An Artist, running my own business.
What is your favourite drink?
What advice would you give other artists/creatives starting out?I would have to say my favourite drink is Iced Coffee, it is my go to drink especially when I am creating.
What inspired you to start painting/drawing?
I can’t say an exact moment when my passion for Art started. I always enjoyed creating from a young age, which I can thank my Mum for always encouraging me to create, and encouraged me to keep creating as I got older.
As I got older, through-out my late teen years, sketching became my happy place. Taking away all my thoughts when I would sketch, then it grew from there.
First with sketching, then experimenting in Abstract Art, Seascape and Pop-Art. Years later, I have developed a diverse range of Art styles. Trying new techniques and mixing media’s together is always fun to see the outcome!
What advice would you give other artists/creatives starting out?My advice to anyone who has a dream of pursuing an Art career would be, believe in yourself.
And yes, of course there is so many long hours, late nights, set backs and there will be people who don’t believe you can do it. BUT, if you use your passion for Art as your drive, put in the hard work, overcome those set-backs, and most importantly believe that you can do it, in time, it will happen. You will get there.
