Beth McIntyre
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am an emerging artist born and raised in Adelaide. I have always had an interest in drawing and painting, but it wasn’t until recently that I started really taking it seriously and turning it into a career. Creativity has always been a big part of my life, as well as travel, and I have lived and travelled to many countries in my life. I always used to feel my feelings so intensely, I used to loathe them. But the more I accept them and use them as my source of inspiration for my work, the more I can appreciate them, and the more I’ve come to absolutely love and cherish the human experience in all its forms. The ugly and the beautiful parts. I get moved so easily by things now and I feel like I could never run out of inspiration for my work because it’s literally everywhere. 🤍
What is your favourite drink?
Hand drip coffee.
What inspired you to start painting/drawing?
I guess I’ve been making art in some form most of my life, to be honest I don’t know exactly what inspired me to start… I just did.
What advice would you give other artists/creatives starting out?
Just make art and share it. Surrender perfectionism or thinking you or your work aren’t good enough. Just create, create, create every day and share your work. And never forget to enjoy the process. If you forget that then what’s the point?
