Ashleigh Richards

Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I live in North Queensland with my husband and 3 children. I love spending time with my family, horse riding, breeding and hand raising Quaker parrots & cockatiels and painting. I'm also currently doing an associate degree in Digital Media which will hopefully tie in nicely with my art journey. I love living out of town and the freedom that comes with it.

What is your favourite drink?
My favourite drink is coffee 🤣

What inspired you to start painting/drawing?
I've always been creating in terms of art and craft projects but in the last few years, I have really been pouring myself into pastels and acrylics. My mum and grandmother have always been artistic so I do believe that has also encouraged me.

What advice would you give other artists/creatives starting out?
My advice to anyone starting out is to trust the process and to keep trying. It's also okay to walk away from a project if you feel it's not going the way you want it to.
